I've got some woodland photography on the cards tomorrow. (Hermitage of Braid.)
Through an art friend, I've been invited on a group trip. It might be a regular feature, involving different locales each week, but it depends on my finances. The weather hasn't been the best lately, but it hasn't dampened my inspiration.
I'm looking forward to some abstract shots and wet weather/bokeh effects.

Jousting for photos.

The spectacular jousting event is back in town tomorrow, and I didn't realise. :wow: I went last year and really enjoyed the live demonstrations.
This year, I want to take some dynamic portraits of those in costume. The jousting itself is pure pantomine, but I found it a little tricky to keep up with all the action. I prefer to mingle and soak in the atmosphere.
The only thing that's worrying me is the weather. I hope that it isn't a wash out. :o Otherwise, I'm looking forward to a good weekend!

Marching on.

Next Tuesday, my town is celebrating its annual holiday. It's a day of marching bands, decorative floats and people in costume. There are ceremonial aspects too, as people travel from one end to the other.
I haven't tackled a photo project in a while, and want to capture the emotions from the day. The funny part is that I've always ignored the creative potential. (Bagpipes outside the window at 6am might be responsible.) :)
Last year, I took some practice shots but nothing DA worthy. This time around, I'd really like to expand on those ideas.
